LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- After being taken to a hospital on Thursday after her sister called 911, Heather Locklear was doing better and was in stable condition, as of Thursday night.

“We’re glad to report that Heather is stable. She’s resting comfortably, being very well cared for and doing quite well,” Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center spokesperson Kris Carraway-Bowman told reporters late Thursday.

“Her mother and father are with her and they’re caring for her,” the spokesperson continued. “She is resting comfortably.”

Carraway-Bowman would not comment on the circumstances that landed Locklear in the Thousand Oaks, Calif. hospital, but said the 50-year-old actress is expected to rebound from the incident.

“She is doing well. She is not in harm’s way and they expect a full re-recovery,” the hospital rep continued. “[Her family is] looking forward to bringing her home.”

On Thursday night, daughter Ava Sambora wrote â€" on what appears to be the 14-year-old’s Twiiter page, “it’s going to get worse before it gets better.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywo od.com, the actress was taken to the hospital over a reported medical emergency, KNBC confirmed on Thursday.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Captain Mike Aranda confirmed to KNBC that at 2:05 PM PST on Thursday, Locklear’s sister called 911 at the actress’ home for a “medical emergency” involving the former “Melrose Place” star.

When the VCSD arrived, paramedics were administering aid to Locklear, the Capt. told KNBC.

TMZ claimed unnamed law enforcement sources told the website Locklear mixed prescription drugs and alcohol.

A rep for Locklear wasn’t immediately available for comment when contacted by Access Hollywood at the time.
