LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- After being taken to a hospital on Thursday after her sister called 911, Heather Locklear was doing better and was in stable condition, as of Thursday night.
âWeâre glad to report that Heather is stable. Sheâs resting comfortably, being very well cared for and doing quite well,â Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center spokesperson Kris Carraway-Bowman told reporters late Thursday.
âHer mother and father are with her and theyâre caring for her,â the spokesperson continued. âShe is resting comfortably.â
Carraway-Bowman would not comment on the circumstances that landed Locklear in the Thousand Oaks, Calif. hospital, but said the 50-year-old actress is expected to rebound from the incident.
âShe is doing well. She is not in harmâs way and they expect a full re-recovery,â the hospital rep continued. â[Her family is] looking forward to bringing her home.â
On Thursday night, daughter Ava Sambora wrote â" on what appears to be the 14-year-oldâs Twiiter page, âitâs going to get worse before it gets better.â
As previously reported on AccessHollywo od.com, the actress was taken to the hospital over a reported medical emergency, KNBC confirmed on Thursday.
Ventura County Sheriffâs Department Captain Mike Aranda confirmed to KNBC that at 2:05 PM PST on Thursday, Locklearâs sister called 911 at the actressâ home for a âmedical emergencyâ involving the former âMelrose Placeâ star.
When the VCSD arrived, paramedics were administering aid to Locklear, the Capt. told KNBC.
TMZ claimed unnamed law enforcement sources told the website Locklear mixed prescription drugs and alcohol.
A rep for Locklear wasnât immediately available for comment when contacted by Access Hollywood at the time.
