The actor, who has scooped up a Golden Globe tonight for his performance his Starz drama series, Boss, says that he and wife Kayte Walsh are expecting twins. USA TODAY's Bryan Alexander was backstage when Grammer made the confirmation.
He's looking forward to the new characters. "Fatherhood is always differen t based upon the character that comes into your life," he says. "They arrive and tell you what they have to do. I'm really looking forward to meeting these new arrivals."
He says Walsh will be an "extraordinary" mom. "She's the most loving, amazing and warm human being. She's funny and serious. I think she'll blow them away," he explains.
What will be the impact of the twins' arrivals? "It doesn't (affect) my life, certainly not the way I work," he says. "It changes how much time you spend working."
