Heather Locklear has reportedly been 'distraught' over her split with former fiance Jack Wagner.
Actress Heather Locklear is safe and resting comfortably at a Los Angeles area hospital after a 911 call, her parents said.
"She is in no danger and she's going to be just fine," parents Bill and Diane Locklear said in a statement issued by Los Robles Hospital and obtained by People.com.
The blond bombshell, famous for her roles on âMelrose Placeâ and âSpin City,â was taken by ambulance from her Thousand Oaks home Thursday after paramedics decided she needed medical attention, authorities said.
âHer sister was the one who placed the call at 1:47 p.m., and it appears she was transported at 2:53 p.m. So they took some time to evaluate her. It was non life-threating,â Ventura County Sheriff's Department spokesman Mike Aranda told the Daily News.
âI believe she was conscious,â he said, declining to discuss the cause of the 911 call.
A law enforcement source told TMZ that the actress took a combination of prescription pills and alcohol.
"Sheâs talking, sheâs alert," Los Robles Hospital Spokeswoman Kris Carraway-Bowman told the News of the actress' current condition on Friday. "Weâre currently continuing our evalution of her and weâll know more when the tests come back."Â
Locklear, 50, was spotted Tuesday night at a Los Angeles Lakers game seated next to actor Woody Harrelson.
She recently called off her engagement to former âMelrose Placeâ co-star Jack Wagner, whom she had been dating since 2007.
âShe is distraught over her relationship with Jack. It is on and off, and it has upset her lately,â an unnamed source claimed to RadarOnline.com.
Previously married to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, Locklear pleaded no contest to reckless driving in 2008 after a DUI arrest in Santa Barbara.
She reportedly spent time in an Arizona rehab facility after the incident.
