(CBS) Angelina Jolie says making her directorial debut, "In the Land of Blood and Honey," took an emotional toll.

The actress revealed that she had "a complete meltdown" while shooting the film, a love story set during the Bosnian War.

"I had a complete emotional breakdown in the shower and Brad [Pitt] found me crying," she said during a live online chat about the film. "I felt this huge responsibility and I felt very small. I thought, 'Who am I to take this on?'...I had a complete meltdown."

Jolie, who also wrote the film's screenplay, was unsure when asked whether she'll reprise her role as a director.

'I didn't plan to become a director, and I still have trouble saying I'm a director," she admitted. 'I just wanted to tell this story and I ended up, by default, being the director. It was a pleasure but I wonder if it would be a pleasure with another cast and crew, and a subject matter that wasn't so special."

"In the Land of Blood and Honey" could earn Jolie a Golden Globe award this weekend - the film is nominated in the best foreign film category.
