Precursor to the Oscars? One big party?
Whichever way you describe the Golden Globes, one aspect of the annual awards show can't be denied. Each year, it is one of the largest gatherings of Hollywood stars. They pose on the red carpet, dine in the ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills and then await the judgment of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which gives awards in movie and TV categories.
USA TODAY's live coverage from the red carpet, in the ballroom and backstage begins at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
